1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Sniplex, including the public website, share creation and viewing features, public archive, search, account features, community interactions, support features, and billing features.

By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration and account information.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, controlling access to your account, and all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must not share access in a way that bypasses the service's security or subscription controls.
  • You should enable two-factor authentication where available and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. What the service is for

Sniplex lets users create and share text, code, and image posts through shareable links. Depending on the features available to your account, you may be able to choose visibility settings, expiry options, password protection, encryption for text shares, categories, tags, custom slugs, and other sharing controls.

  • You may use the service only for lawful purposes and only with content, images, data, and materials you have the right to upload, store, share, or otherwise make available.
  • You must not use the service to infringe intellectual property rights, violate privacy or confidentiality obligations, harass others, distribute unlawful content, or facilitate abuse.
  • You must not probe, overload, disable, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to disrupt the service except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party service terms connected to your use of Sniplex.

4. Shares, visibility, and access controls

Sniplex supports public, unlisted, and private shares, and your selected visibility affects who can access the content you post.

  • Public shares may be listed in public areas such as the archive and may be discoverable by other users or visitors.
  • Unlisted shares are not intended to appear in public listings, but anyone with the link may be able to access them unless additional protections apply.
  • Private shares are intended to be available only to the share owner while signed in.
  • If you protect a share with a password, access depends on the correct password being provided.
  • If you enable encryption for a text share, the stored text content is encrypted and requires the share password for decryption.
  • You are responsible for choosing the sharing settings that fit your use case and for controlling who receives any share link or password you distribute.

5. Your content and permissions

You retain your rights in the content you submit to the service. You grant us a limited right to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve Sniplex and to carry out your instructions within the service.

You represent that you have all permissions needed for us to process the text, code, images, comments, support requests, billing details, and other information you submit through the service.

6. Community features, moderation, and enforcement

Sniplex may include community and account features such as comments, reactions, favourites, reporting tools, notifications, and support workflows.

  • You are responsible for your posts, comments, reports, support submissions, and other activity you create through the service.
  • We may review, restrict, edit, remove, or disable access to content or accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, investigate abuse, respond to legal issues, protect users, or maintain the service.
  • Administrators may disable accounts, revoke sessions, initiate password resets, moderate comments, delete shares, or take other administrative action when needed to operate and secure the platform.

7. Subscriptions, billing, and paid features

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscription billing and payment-method workflows are handled through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

If you start a paid plan, you authorize us and our payment providers to charge the applicable subscription fees, taxes, and other stated charges using the payment method you designate.

Paid subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled. If payment fails, we may suspend, limit, downgrade, or terminate paid features until the billing issue is resolved.

8. Service communications and administration

Sniplex may send transactional emails, verification messages, security codes, billing notices, support communications, and in-app notifications related to your account and use of the service.

If you provide a phone number or use phone-verification features, the service may also send SMS messages related to authentication, verification, or account changes.

9. Availability, changes, and third-party dependencies

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Sniplex at any time. Features may change as the product evolves.

The service depends on third-party systems and providers, including payment providers, object storage providers, hosting providers, email providers, and SMS providers. We are not responsible for outages, delivery failures, or inaccuracies caused by those third parties or by content or settings you configure incorrectly.

10. Disclaimers

Sniplex is a content-sharing platform. It does not guarantee that shared content will remain available indefinitely, that links will remain secret once shared, or that any privacy or access setting will protect against every form of misuse, compromise, or redistribution.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, use, data, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of Sniplex.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to the service will be limited to the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. The service currently includes account-management flows that allow account deletion or scheduled account deletion in some cases.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, create security or legal risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or misuse the service or connected systems. Suspension or termination does not limit any other remedy available to us.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version in the service and revise the last-updated date on this page. By continuing to use the service after the updated terms become effective, you agree to the revised terms.
